Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Service Electrician with at least 2 years of electrical experience to join our team. The Apprentice Service Electrician will assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and light industrial environments. This role offers the opportunity to further develop technical skills while working under the guidance of experienced electricians in a service-based, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues in commercial and light industrial settings

  • Support service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment

  • Install, repair, and replace wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, outlets, and lighting systems under supervision

  • Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents

  • Assist with testing electrical systems and components to ensure proper functionality

  • Follow all NEC codes, local regulations, and OSHA safety standards

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in clean and organized condition

  • Accurately document work performed and assist with completing service reports

  • Communicate professionally with team members, supervisors, and customers on job sites

  • Assist with material handling, inventory, and job site preparation

  • Participate in ongoing training and develop technical and troubleshooting skills

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of 2+ years of electrical experience, preferably in commercial or light industrial environments

  • Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and NEC code requirements

  • Strong willingness to learn and grow within the electrical trade

  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively under supervision

  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods

  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions

  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
