Job description

* Conducts performance tests on new and returned instruments to evaluate their sound quality and identify defects upon arrival and prior to shipping.
* Repair and recondition new or used instruments as required. Polish instruments using rags, compounds, buffing wheels, and burnishing tools to return instruments to sellable stock.
* Record and enter serial numbers and other instrument data into inventory software for site exposure.
* Performs customer returns and disposition of returned goods and grade them appropriately for the Open Box Program.
* Work with vendors to obtain additional and replacement parts for instruments.
* Other duties as assigned, such as maintaining current product knowledge on new developments in the industry.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES
* Associate's Degree preferred, or 2 years equivalent experience
* Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school
* Intermediate knowledge of guitar and bass set up and repair
