Role Overview
The Nuclear Planner Scheduler is a role responsible for the strategic planning, sequencing/scheduling, and documentation of projects and operational work within a nuclear power plant. This role interfaces with various plant departments to ensure the timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and operational schedules. Employees in this role will attend Site and Fleet meetings as required.
Key Responsibilities
Experience: 6 to 10 years of technical experience, preferably in a nuclear facility in Engineering, Maintenance, or Operations. Prior relevant military experience may be considered.
Education: An Associate's degree in Engineering or a related physical science is preferred.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, online scheduling applications, and work management processes is required.

- Plans and organizes project activities for plant equipment and systems.
- Creates clear and concise work instructions that are sequenced in a logical, efficient manner.

- Conducts field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective and preventative maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities.
- Defines procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required to perform planned work packages.
- Acts as a liaison with the engineering department and vendors to coordinate activities.
- Develops computerized critical-path schedules for day-to-day maintenance activities as well as for refueling and maintenance outages.
- Prepares, publishes, and monitors daily schedules, performing trend analysis and documenting any issues.
- Provides mentorship to junior planner schedulers and may take on a lead planner role.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
