Job description

Are you seeking a growth opportunity as a Service Technician or Apprentice? Do you seek a company in which to build a career that offers stability? Do you want to work daily in the Centre / Cherokee County, AL area? If so, Blossman Gas & Appliance would like you to submit your application online for consideration toward an open SERVICE TECHNICIAN or SERVICE APPRENTICE position at our growing market in the Cherokee County, AL area. With more than 80 branch locations in 12 states, Blossman Gas is the largest independent propane company in America. Due to our company's culture, these positions experience little turnover for those who want to work locally and for an established company.
Our Service Technicians regularly install propane tanks for residential and commercial customers, as well as install, service, and maintain gas comfort equipment such as water heaters, dryers, ranges/stoves, fireplaces, generators, and more. This is a great position for someone who has prior propane, appliance installation/repair, or mechanical experience and would enjoy working locally. Excellent professional growth opportunity. Meaningful work daily within a stable industry.
The position requires customer service skills, occasional on-call duty, and being a contributing member of a team environment. There is a lot of growth potential with this particular opening and our company. A strong commitment to safety, consistent with company policy, is a must. Prior propane or other related experience and valid CDL license strongly preferred for this opening.
Competitive, hourly pay will depend on prior experience. A comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/life/vision insurances, 401(k) w/match, PTO, achievable bonus opportunities, and ongoing professional growth are included. Assistance with obtaining the hazmat endorsement on the CDL available.
