Job description

As a Seasonal Sr. Technical Designer at Lulus you will work closely with our production team ensuring the fit and quality of the Lulus brand. In this role you will facilitate the transition of product from initial design and trend concept to a fit approved garment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver quality in design, fit, and function. In addition, you will leverage and develop key vendor relationships to support working efficiently and driving fit consistency to improve the customer experience.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, onsite at our LA office. This role will follow a temporary schedule, currently estimated to run through late October 2026.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead fit sessions and effectively communicate fit intent and balance to vendor base

  • Create and maintain fit standards, ensuring overall fit consistency

  • Leverage customer feedback & technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues that are unique and may require a novel approach

  • Identify potential fit, construction, cost, and quality concerns and make recommendations to ensure brand integrity

  • Deliver high quality product in fit, styling, detail, and functionality that enables Lulus to achieve its financial goals

  • Manage and track competing seasonal deliverables, for products under your category

  • Review style grading and make recommendations

  • Cross-examine sample against style Tech Pack and/or against previous fit samples to ensure comments have been corrected

  • Maintain professional and timely email correspondence with domestic & oversea vendors

What You’ll Need

  • Strong understanding of the garment production process from pattern making to fitting experience, and overall improving quality of a garment while maintaining cost efficiencies

  • Knowledge of fabrics

  • Ability to lead live fittings and evaluate overall fit with understanding to make necessary fit/pattern corrections to achieve the desired fit

  • Ability to effectively communicate with vendors on a regular basis (written & verbal)

  • Team-oriented; ability to excel in a team-based structure

  • Approach deadlines with a sense of urgency

  • Exceptional follow-up skills and ability to analyze workload and plan accordingly

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Illustrator

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods

  • High school diploma/GED required

  • 5-7 years of experience in apparel technical design, with a thorough understanding of the apparel design & development process from inception through production
