This position requires a deep understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and materials to ensure that all products meet stringent quality and specification standards. The machinist will interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to set up and adjust machines for optimal performance. Collaboration with engineering and quality assurance teams is essential to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvements. Ultimately, the role ensures efficient production workflows while maintaining safety and compliance with industry standards.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with CNC programming and machine setup.
  • Strong knowledge of machining tools, materials, and measurement techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair CNC machines.
  • Certification from a recognized machining or manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders to manufacture parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements and tolerances.
  • Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages, making adjustments as necessary to optimize performance.
  • Perform routine inspections and quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Skills:

The CNC Machinist Level II utilizes technical skills daily to program and operate CNC machines, ensuring precision and efficiency in part production. Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting complex blueprints and making real-time adjustments to machining processes.
