Apprentice Welder

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Work Arrangement: Onsite- Full time, Permanent

Shift: 4:00 AM -12:30 PM Monday to Friday

What you'll do

  • Welding Training and Development:Participate in a Registered Apprenticeship Program combining paid, supervised on-the-job training with classroom instruction through East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT). Develop welding and fabrication skills progressively under direct supervision of qualified journey-level employees.

  • Daily Responsibilities:Perform welding and fabrication tasks under supervision, learn and apply approved welding processes, tools, and techniques, and follow structured on-the-job learning assignments aligned with apprenticeship standards.

  • Quality and Safety Compliance:Use required personal protective equipment (PPE), follow all shop safety rules, maintain quality, housekeeping, and productivity expectations, and immediately report any safety concerns, incidents, or near misses.

  • Performance and Progression:Participate in evaluations and skills assessments as required, with task assignments increasing in complexity as skills are demonstrated. Apprentices will not perform skilled welding work independently and are not assigned general labor or full production coverage.

  • Safety First:Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you'll bring
Must-haves:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States

  • Ability to meet physical demands of fabrication and welding work

  • Attending and completing all EVIT Related Technical Instruction (RTI) requirements

Nice-to-haves:

  • Basic math and mechanical aptitude

  • Commitment to learning, safety, and following instructions
