Job description

J.D.Gaddis Electrical Contractors, Inc. is seeking an Electrician/Apprentice to support electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance for commercial projects across the Southeast United States.

Position Summary

The Electrician/ Electrical Apprentice role assists with installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems while building strong jobsite skills under the guidance of experienced electricians. This position is ideal for someone who is safety-focused, eager to learn, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.

You will work as part of a team to complete electrical tasks efficiently and accurately, ensuring all work meets applicable standards and job requirements.

** This is an onsite location job- applicants must be willing and able to travel to office on-site location in Greensboro, Ga.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, wiring, and related components on job sites

  • Ability to work independently and with a team

  • Perform troubleshooting and basic diagnostic tasks under supervision to identify and resolve electrical issues

  • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and work orders to support correct installations

  • Ensure safe work practices by following electrical safety procedures and site guidelines at all times

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite materials in an organized and ready-to-use condition

Required Qualifications
  • Five years of electrical experience (on the job training)

  • Completed Electrical Apprenticeship Program

  • Ability to follow instructions, job procedures, and site rules consistently

  • Comfortable working on construction sites and performing hands-on physical work

  • Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and reliable attendance

  • Travel required

  • Strong communication skills

  • Clean MVR, Background Check, and Drug Screening

Preferred Qualifications
  • Residing within 30-45 mins from the office location

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and quality workmanship in prior hands-on roles

  • Thorough understanding of tools, hand equipment, and common jobsite practices

  • Certifications

    • OSHA 10

    • OSHA 30

    • Any Equipment Certifications (i.e., scissor lifts, loader lifts etc. )

Compensation

Starting hourly rate: $20.00 - $40.00 (Compensation based on experience)

After 90 days, eligible for benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401k)

*NO relocation offered at this time
