Job Description Summary
The Warehouse Lead will support the service department, construction and operations by receiving and organizing materials, receiving tool requests, and managing scheduled deliveries. The Warehouse Lead will safely operate a forklift and maintain an orderly warehouse.
Job Description:
Role & Responsibilities
  • Load and unload trucks with materials to be shipped out or returning from jobsites using a forklift, hand truck or pallet jack
  • Receiving materials, documenting merchandise, communicating to field and office personnel, and planning for deliveries.
  • Manage job site returns, document quantities of tools and equipment, and work with vendors.
  • Ensure a safe warehouse environment, including general warehouse housekeeping.
  • Deliver and pick up lifts, trailers, tools, & equipment to and from jobsites.
  • Check in/check out tools and equipment from shop.
  • Manage tracking software platforms.
  • Perform and/or schedule maintenance and certifications on equipment, trailers and vehicles as required.
  • Oversee and direct material handler(s) and Youth Apprentices that may be assigned to the shop periodically.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess and maintains an MNDOT health card certificate.
  • 5 years of warehouse experience with at least 1 year of leadership experience managing others in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience with leading and directing other individuals in job performance.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to work overtime occasionally as needed.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Record Check.
  • Knowledge of materials and tools used in the electrical industry is preferred.
  • Forklift Operator certification preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • This job is operated in a warehouse environment and is exposed to weather conditions.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per warehouse requirements, including but not limited to, hard-toed work boots, safety glasses, gloves and high visibility vest.
  • This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners.
  • Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch.
  • This position may occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range:
$53,248.00 - $71,014.00
