Job Description (Essential Function):
The Extrusion Floor Operator has two roles; the first role is the Extrusion Floor operator in this role the operator is responsible for cleaning, starting-up, running, sampling, monitoring, correcting and completing the extrusion process in accordance with all area Standard Operating Procedures.
After completing the extrusion process the next role is that of a Lab Technician in this role the responsibilities are to perform color analysis, visual inspection and chip weight on all samples and send applicable samples to the lab; it is also your responsibility to enter the results of the color analysis, visual inspection and chip weight into the sample results data base and report any abnormalities to the Control Room Operator.
Another responsibility is to make sure the Control Room Operator receives the retainer sample for further inspection and storing.
