Job description

Service Advisor Apprentice. ย
Crown City Tire Auto Care โ€” Pasadena, CA.
Crown City Tire Auto Care is hiring a full-time Service Advisor Apprentice โ€” a customer-facing role designed for people who are strong in customer service and want to grow into a Service Advisor. This is true growth position.
This role supports our Service Advisors and includes CSR-level responsibilities, so you learn how the entire customer experience works โ€” from the first phone call to vehicle delivery.
You do not need automotive experience; if you have automotive experience, even better.

However, if youโ€™re great with people, social skills, organized, and coachable โ€” weโ€™ll teach you the rest.
What This Role Is:
This is a hands-on training role that prepares you to become a full pledge Service Advisor.
Youโ€™ll start by:
  • Supporting Service Advisors throughout the day.
  • Handling CSR duties (phones, scheduling, customer flow).
  • Learning how repair orders are built, explained, and delivered.
  • Understanding how we manage inspections, estimates, and follow-ups.
  • Learn a vehicle's systems and functions, from parts, to maintenance items.

Most apprentices transition into a full pledge Service Advisor role in about 9 months. Some move faster, some take longer โ€” either way, youโ€™ll be coached with clear expectations and regular feedback.
Who This Is Perfect For:
This role is ideal if you:
  • Currently work in customer service or retail sales (automotive or non-automotive).
  • Enjoy interacting with customers face-to-face and on the phone.
  • Want to understand the entire process, not just one task.
  • Learn quickly and apply feedback.
  • Want a career path, not a temporary role.
This is not a fit if you prefer repetitive work or minimal customer interaction.
Pay, Schedule & Benefits:
  • $22โ€“$24 per hour + performance bonuses.
  • Mondayโ€“Friday only (no weekends).
  • Schedule: 7:30 AM โ€“ 5:30 PM.
  • 2 weeks paid time off (after tenure reached).
  • Health benefits.
  • Clear advancement path to a full pledge Service Advisor position with strong earning potential.
What Youโ€™ll Be Doing:
With structured training and daily support, youโ€™ll:
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments.
  • Greet customers and manage the front counter.
  • Support Service Advisors with estimates, follow-ups, and communication.
  • Learn how to explain services clearly and confidently.
  • Assist with repair order flow and organization.
  • Maintain a clean, professional front-of-house environment.
  • Work closely with technicians, advisors, and management.
Youโ€™ll be trained to understand every step of the customer journey, so when you advance, nothing feels unfamiliar.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of customer-facing and sales experience.
  • Automotive knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with computers and learning new systems.
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • High school diploma.
  • Valid California driverโ€™s license.
About Crown City Tire Auto Care:
Weโ€™re a family-owned shop with nearly 100 years serving Pasadena. Our goal is simple: remove anxiety from auto repair by being clear, honest, and thorough.
Internally, we value:
  • Training and development.
  • Clear expectations.
  • Accountability.
  • Teamwork.
  • Promoting from within.
