JOB SUMMARY
As a Line Cook at Greenwood Communities and Resorts, you are a vital part of our culinary team, responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences, ensuring every plate meets our standards of quality service and hospitality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables and other items required for line and special function purposes.
  • Carefully follow standard recipes when pre-preparing and preparing all times.
  • Use food preparation equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Have a good understanding of restaurant compliance under DHEC regulations for the state.
  • Clean work station.
  • Return unused food products to proper storage areas.
  • Assist with preparation of other food products on serving line as needed.
  • Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices.
  • Ensure that soiled equipment is cleaned for proper sanitation.
  • Maintain and ensure quality of product through expediting meal service.

Requirements
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present food in a live, guest-facing cooking environment with confidence and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and health department regulations.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Culinary degree from accredited school, qualified apprenticeship, or comparable work experience.
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to speak and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to stand and work for long periods of time in an outdoor environment
  • Capable of performing duties in extreme temperatures.
