Job description

Tool amp; Die General Helper
Start Your Skilled Trades Career with ArtiFlex

As a Tool amp; Die General Helper, you'll work alongside experienced Tool amp; Die Makers and Machinists while learning the fundamentals of the trade. Our goal is to help motivated employees develop into Upgrader or Tool amp; Die Apprentice roles and ultimately become Journeyman Tool amp; Die Makers.

No Tool amp; Die experience? No problem. If you're mechanically inclined, dependable, and eager to learn, this is an opportunity to build a long-term career in the skilled trades.
What You'll Do
  • Support daily operations in our tool and die shop through a variety of hands-on tasks.

  • Work closely with experienced tradespeople and contribute to a safe, productive team environment.

  • Assist with painting dies, cleaning, organizing work areas, and other shop activities.

  • Operate conventional equipment and material handling equipment, including hilo and overhead cranes, following all safety procedures.

  • Pick up and deliver parts, materials, mail, and other items between ArtiFlex facilities and customer locations.

What You'll Learn
  • The basics of tool and die manufacturing and die construction.

  • Safe work practices in a manufacturing environment.

  • Skills and experience that can prepare you for advancement into an Upgrader or Tool amp; Die Apprenticeship.

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

  • Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule
