Mechanical Apprentice 3 or 4
We're looking for:
We are seeking a Level 3 or 4 registered Mechanical Apprentice with strong experience in automotive repair and diagnostics to diagnose, repair, maintain, and inspect customer and company vehicles. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your dealership background and further advance your skills toward your license. This role may require flexibility in schedule, including Saturday shifts.
You Are:

  • Careful: You are mindful of your surroundings, working safely and carefully.
  • Organized: You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize tasks.
You Will:
  • Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre- and post-sale inspections (including test drives), frame inspections, and general vehicle inspections. Diagnose issues and identify necessary repairs.
  • General Maintenance: Conduct oil and fluid changes, tire changes, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Repair Services: Assist with brake jobs, exhaust system repairs, front-end alignments, ball joint replacements, air conditioning service, and maintenance of auction vehicles.
  • Shop Support: Complete general shop maintenance, move vehicles, and assist other technicians with complex repairs to expand your knowledge and experience.
  • Customer Service: (May) Assist with sourcing parts, providing quotes, and completing work orders.
Must Haves:
  • Registered Apprentice status (Level 3 or Level 4) actively working towards a 310S license
  • Previous dealership experience
  • Proven experience and proficiency with OEM diagnostics
  • Must possess your own tools
  • 1-3 years of experience in repair and service of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components on a variety of vehicles
  • G license with a clean and valid driver's abstract
  • Basic computer skills & proficient smartphone use
  • A proactive self-starter with strong communication and problem-solving skills and work ethic
Nice to Haves:
  • Strong desire to successfully obtain your Red Seal / 310S qualification
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team as needed
