Job SummaryThe Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of the Master Electrician, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • The Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician with basic tasks
  • Complete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.
  • Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems.
  • Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
  • Possessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals
  • Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred:
  • 2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferred
  • Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes
