Jardeg is recruiting DSP B Pressure Welders Journeyperson with Rig to join the Heritage Constructors team at the CNRL Horizon Fall TA in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a Fall Turnaround event, starting on September going until October 7, shifts are 12 hours, both days and nights on a  6/1 rotation. 

Travel allowance available for qualified applicants. 

Rig Welders- are expected to be proficient with double jointing, position welding, and roll welding on both pipe and pipe fittings. Welding will be completed in both yard and field environment. Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment.  

Responsibilities:

Weld up to 30 inches (FDI) per day when the material is available (some welds may be customized while others may be repetitive procedures to complete the work)
Follow various company policies and procedures.
Utilize hand tools, power tools and heavy equipment to complete assigned tasks
Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs


Minimum Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
  • Valid apprenticeship
  • Driver's Abstract
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test and Mask fit
  • CSTS 09 or CSO
  • Confined Space -ESC
  • Fall Protection -ESC
  • AWP - ESC
  • Firewatch
  • Basic Rigging
  • Other Tickets may be required; to be determined by scope.
