Dixon Holedall, a proud division of The Dixon Group, is seeking a skilled CNC Journeyman Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Houston, TX! This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced machinist who takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will work with advanced CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) and manual equipment to produce high-quality components in a safe, efficient, and team-oriented environment.
We're looking for a seasoned manufacturing professional with 10+ years of hands-on experience who can confidently program, set up, and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) equipment, including Mazak mills, Haas lathes, and manual machines. The ideal candidate excels at making smart decisions about quality, tolerances, and machining sequences, and brings a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and precision to every project.

What You'll Do:
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) and manual machines.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, tool life, and cycle times.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment.
  • Follow all established safety and quality procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes (Mazak, Hass, or similar equipment preferred)
  • Experience working with a variety of materials, including exotic metals and plastics
  • Strong skills in precision measurement, inspection techniques, and quality control.
  • Technical certification, apprenticeship completion, or journeyman machinist program preferred.
  • Formal CNC programming training (Mazatrol, Haas, Mastercam, or similar) a plus.
