POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Affordable Assistant Community Director, you will support the overall day-to-day activities of the apartment community by performing basic bookkeeping and rent collection, maintaining strong tenant relations, and inspecting and showing vacant units.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Assist Community Director in meeting targeted revenue goals by exceeding occupancy budgets, improving resident retention, and monitoring the property's financial performance.
  • Maintain accurate resident records.
  • Update daily all rents, deposits, and application fees received.
  • Issue appropriate notice when necessary (e.g., late payments, eviction notices, returned check memos).
  • Deposit all receipts before the bank closes each day.
  • Inspect move-outs and vacancies.
  • Be knowledgeable of all phases of leasing and resident retention.
  • Keep daily records on lease renewals and terminations.
  • Greet prospective clients, show community, and aid in leasing duties.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 2 years of multi-family property management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Must have affordable/tax credit experience.
  • Must be willing to work weekends.
