Job description

Location: Marino’s Auto Group

Reports to: Service Manager

Type of contract: Permanent Full-Time

Are you an Apprentice Technician looking to take advantage of a quality learning experience in a dealership setting? Marino’s Automotive Group is looking for an Apprentice Technician at Volvo Metro West in Etobicoke!


As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, gaining valuable hands-on experience and essential technical skills. You'll learn to diagnose and fix automotive issues, from routine maintenance to complex repairs, all while being mentored and guided towards a successful career in the automotive industry.


If you're passionate about cars and eager to launch your automotive career, this opportunity is your gateway to becoming a skilled and certified technician.


Key responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned.
  • Diagnose the source of any malfunction and perform the repair.
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required. 
  • Explain procedures and repairs directly to the Service Advisors
  • Perform road test and safety inspections.

Qualifications:


  • Holds an Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship Agreement with the College of Trades
  • In their 3rd or 4th year of apprenticeship
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class G) and a clean driving record.
  • Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Strong Aptitude of technical/mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to work in a team and possesses strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.

Working Environment:


  • Hours: 40 Hours per week
  • Working in Service Department

Compensation:


  • Compensation range: $28.00 - $32.00
  • The range may vary based on experience and qualifications.

This compensation encompasses flat rate and vacation pay as required under Ontario Regulation 476/24 made under the Employment Standards Act, 2000.
