What does an appraiser reviewer do?

An Appraiser Reviewer is responsible for evaluating and verifying the accuracy and quality of appraisal reports prepared by real estate appraisers. They ensure that these reports comply with regulatory standards, organizational guidelines, and industry best practices. Appraiser Reviewers examine the methods, data, and conclusions used in the appraisal process and may request clarifications or corrections if needed. Their work helps maintain the integrity of real estate valuations, especially for mortgage lending, property sales, or insurance purposes.

How does an appraiser reviewer typically collaborate with appraisers and other stakeholders during the loan underwriting process?

As an Appraiser Reviewer, you will regularly interact with both internal teams (such as underwriters and loan officers) and external appraisers.
