Their primary role is to generate leads, qualify prospects, and set up appointments for sales representatives or other staff. Appointment setters often work in call centers, sales teams, or administrative departments and use phone calls, emails, or online platforms to reach out to prospects. Strong communication and organizational skills are important for success in this role.

Job description

About Us

JAN-PRO of Huntsville helps people start and grow their own commercial cleaning businesses — and then we provide them with the customers to make those businesses successful. That means the work you do here directly impacts budding entrepreneurs chasing the dream of business ownership. Every quality appointment you set becomes a real opportunity for one of them.

We've been doing this in the Huntsville area for nearly 20 years — we're an established, proven business, not a startup. Just as important, we operate with a true family atmosphere. We work together, we look out for each other, and we genuinely enjoy showing up every day. When you join us, you're joining a team.

The Role

This is not a "smile-and-dial, hit-your-call-quota" job — and if that's what you're looking for, this isn't the right fit. We're looking for someone who's part detective, part relationship-builder. Your mission is to identify the right companies in our area, figure out who actually makes the decisions about their cleaning services, and open the door for our sales team to deliver a free, no-pressure cleaning quote.

The appointments you set feed directly to our top salesperson. So we don't measure you on how many meetings you book — we measure you on how good they are. A handful of well-researched appointments with real decision-makers at quality companies beats a calendar full of dead ends every time.

What You'll Do

  • Target only commercial businesses that currently use a cleaning company — these are our qualified prospects. Research local companies (offices, medical, retail, industrial, property management, etc.) that already have a cleaning service in place and identify the strongest opportunities to win their business.
  • Dig in to find the actual decision-makers (office managers, facility managers, owners, operations leads) rather than just whoever answers the phone.
  • Reach out through a mix of channels — email, phone, LinkedIn, and occasional targeted direct mail — using the approach that fits each prospect best.
  • Book qualified appointments for our sales rep to present free cleaning quotes.
  • Keep clean, organized notes on prospects, outreach, and results so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Work closely with the sales team — share what you're learning, refine the targeting together, and celebrate the wins as a group.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in B2B appointment setting, inside sales, lead generation, SDR work, or a similar role.
  • Genuinely good at research — you enjoy the puzzle of figuring out who's who at a company and how to reach them.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; you can write an email that gets opened and hold a professional phone conversation.
  • Comfortable with LinkedIn and basic online research tools.
  • Organized and self-directed — you can manage your own pipeline without someone hovering.
  • A team player who wants the whole office to win, not just themselves. Easy to work with, positive, and coachable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities, or B2B services.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and outreach platforms.
  • Local knowledge of the Huntsville business community.
  •

Compensation & Schedule

  • $25/hour.
  • Quarterly bonus tied to company performance and the quality of appointments you generate — when the team wins, you win.
  • 30 hours/week, in-office at our Huntsville location. Consistent daytime hours, Monday–Friday.

Why You'll Like Working Here

You'll be part of a tight-knit team that actually values the work you do — because the appointments you set are the lifeblood of our growth. Your effort will be visible, appreciated, and directly rewarded. If you take pride in doing things the right way and want to genuinely move the needle for a growing local business, we'd love to meet you.

Company Description

JAN-PRO of Huntsville has helped local entrepreneurs launch and grow their own commercial cleaning businesses for nearly 20 years. We're not your typical company — our mission is to set people up for success in business ownership, and then provide them with the customers to thrive. We're an established, stable business with a true family atmosphere: a close-knit team that works hard, supports one another, and genuinely enjoys showing up every day. As we continue to grow, we're looking for great people who want to be part of something bigger than a paycheck — people who take pride in their work and want to help others succeed.
