Job description

Star Service, the leading HVAC Service provider throughout the entire Gulf Coast, is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team in the Houston area
In this role, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a variety of commercial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, pumps, and controls.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Accurately complete service tickets and communicate findings to the office and customer.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with local HVAC codes and safety regulations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls (as applicable).

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience required.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • HVAC journeyman's license (preferred, or ability to obtain).
  • Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Soft Skills:
  • Must have the ability to work independently within minimal supervision

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week plus on call for emergencies

  • Must have the desire to build, train and promote a team from ground up
