Job description

We are looking for a Director, Healthcare Consulting - Psychometrics to join our Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) team in the United States (Remote). This role will focus on building and scaling psychometric capabilities within Clarivate's healthcare consulting practice, supporting global pharmaceutical and biotech clients. As a consulting leader, you will combine deep psychometric expertise with client delivery, regulatory alignment, and team leadership to support high-impact COA engagements and the continued growth of this offering.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant field

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Healthcare or COA consulting, with a focus on psychometrics

  • Hands-on experience conducting psychometric analyses for COA instruments in clinical trial settings

  • Demonstrated experience applying psychometric methodologies, including Classical Test Theory, Item Response Theory, Factor Analysis, and Structural Equation Modeling

  • Experience developing or contributing to statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and psychometric analysis plans (PAPs)

  • Experience supporting clinical trial design related to COA endpoints and psychometric validation

  • Proficiency with statistical software used for quantitative analysis, including SAS, SPSS, and/or R

  • Master's degree (MSc) or PhD in a relevant discipline such as Psychology, Applied Statistical Methods, Biostatistics, or a related field

  • Conducting or supporting utility studies

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Lead psychometric workstreams within COA consulting engagements, ensuring high-quality, compliant delivery

  • Establish and refine standard operating procedures, tools, and workflows to support scalable psychometric services

  • Provide methodological leadership across psychometric and quantitative analyses for PRO and COA projects

  • Develop and review SAPs and PAPs, with input into clinical trial design and endpoint strategy

  • Select and apply appropriate psychometric methods and ensure alignment with regulatory expectations

  • Interpret and translate analytical results for clients, internal teams, and senior stakeholders

  • Contribute to client deliverables, reports, and presentations, owning psychometric and statistical content

  • Support the growth of psychometric capabilities within the Healthcare Consulting practice, including mentoring and knowledge sharing

  • Collaborate with COA leaders and consulting teams to support business development and client relationships

  • Represent Clarivate in client-facing and regulatory-related discussions as a subject matter expert

  • Stay current on developments in psychometrics, statistics, clinical trial methodology, and regulatory guidance

About the Team

You will join Clarivate's Healthcare Consulting organization within the Clinical Outcomes Assessment service line. The team partners with pharmaceutical and biotech clients globally to support COA strategy, instrument development, validation, and regulatory engagement. This role will work closely with COA scientists, consultants, and leadership while helping scale a growing psychometric consulting capability within the broader practice.

Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time, permanent position.

  • The role is remote and requires flexibility to collaborate with global clients and project teams across time zones.

Compensation

The expected base salary for this position is $168,000 - $210,000 USD per year.This role is eligible for annual incentive bonus earnings.Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
