About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This teaching position includes designing and facilitating learning environments in applied science degree programs. The programs award an Associate in Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies with a specialization in Electrical Electronics and Bachelor of Technology degree in Instrumentation Technology. The focus of this instructional position will be in the operation, design, installation, repair and maintenance of systems typically found in manufacturing, processing, and utility industries. The main focus of this instructional position will be in the areas on automated measurement and control of pressure, temperature, flow, and level.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university; master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Other combinations of education and industry experience may be substituted for degree requirement with appropriate approval.

Experience:

  • Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Five (5) years documented successful work experience in related industry.
  • Teaching experience in Higher Education preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Licensure/Certification:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

  • Ability to plan, organize and fulfill complex initiatives.
  • Computer skills to include electronic communications, word processing, and the ability to use specific software associated with the position are necessary.
