Title: Data Analyst

Reports to: Head of Business Intelligence, Finance and Accounting   

Location: Atlanta, GA. (Hybrid: Monday, Wednesday, Friday in-office)

About the Role

CharterUP is seeking an early career Data Analyst to join our Finance BI team, someone eager to tackle data challenges and assist in meeting the reporting and analytics needs of teams throughout the organization. This role's deliverables will have a high impact, with visibility to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from multiple sources (e.g., databases, APIs, spreadsheets) for both one-off data requests and recurring reports.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will guide business strategy and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key business metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and model data to predict future trends and performance.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience and Expertise

  • Bachelor's and Master's degrees.  Masters must be in one of the following fields: Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Data Science, Quantitative Finance, Computational Finance, or Finance Engineering
  • 1+ years industry experience as Data Analyst
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: Redshift or Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Salesforce and tools like 6sense.
  • Experience with data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present data insights to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
