Job Summary:
Metron is an employee-owned company dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for the most challenging national security problems. They are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design and develop algorithms, simulations, and visualization tools for autonomous robotics, engaging in the full software process and leading project teams.
Responsibilities:
• design and develop algorithms

• engage in the full software process—from concept to design and demonstration
• lead dynamic project teams
• integrate innovative ideas from various fields
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or related field
• At least 2 years of industry experience in advanced software development in a team environment
• Programming experience in C++ and/or Java programming languages
• Experience using one or more development tools
• Experience writing algorithmic code, including complexity analysis, performance optimization, and multithreading
• Ability to communicate design concepts and performance metrics clearly
• US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; Successful candidates will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Preferred:
• Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, applied math, or related field
• Experience using Robotic Operating System (ROS) or its equivalent
• Active Security Clearance
• Experience in Probability/Statistics, Linear Algebra, Multivariate Calculus
