National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) headquartered near the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking to support an engagement for Government - Federal (USA) Sector Clients. The National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH), Division of Environmental Health Science and Practice (DEHSP) prevents exposures to environmental health hazards to improve the health of all people in all communities through applied environmental public health science and practice. The mission of the National Environmental Public Health Tracking Program (Tracking Program) is to provide information from a nationwide network of integrated health and environmental data that drives actions to improve the health of communities. The National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network is a multi-tiered, Web-based system with components at national, state, and local levels. In collaboration with federal, state, and local partners, the Tracking Program identifies priority environmental health issues, determines key surveillance questions, and evaluates the utility of existing data for answering the question and informing the issue.

This Public Health Analyst I position currently best aligns with the Junior Consultant Labor Category and ideal candidates exhibit the ability to visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges while confidently engaging in productive "Jugaad" and dialogue targeting mission success.  ProSidian Team Members accomplish this mission by acquiring skilled talent for the Tracking Program with a wide range of expertise including informatics, data science, bio-statistics, epidemiology, health education, and communication.  Additionally, the program needs staff skilled in program development, strategic planning, evaluation, facilitation, partnerships, and project management. The Tracking Program identifies priority environmental health issues, determines key surveillance questions, and evaluates the utility of existing data for answering the question and informing the issue. Selected data are integrated into the Network and used to describe temporal and spatial trends in disease and potential environmental exposures, identify populations most affected, generate hypotheses about associations between health and environmental exposures, and develop, guide, and assess the environmental public health policies and interventions aimed at reducing or eliminating health outcomes associated with environmental factors. Data are translated into information for targeted audiences and disseminated through a novel, innovative system of query panels, dashboards, info-graphics, and application programming interface.

The Public Health Analyst I shall have overall responsibility of the contract activities: planning, organizing, directing, controlling, staffing and reporting status, deliverables and schedules to the Government. As various Task Orders (sometimes referred to as Call Orders) are issued by the Government, the Public Health Analyst I  shall ensure the deliverables are in compliance with the Task Order in terms of budget, schedule, and quality of the delivered product. Note: a Public Health Analyst I may oversee several Task Orders at one time. The Public Health Analyst I shall provide technical assistance services to support the Tracking Program in accomplishing its mission. Additionally, when gaps in data are found, the Tracking Program collaborates with partners to develop standards for new data collections, develop models, expand the utility of non-traditional public health data, or develop new methodologies for using existing data.

The Public Health Analyst I shall provide facilitation and coordination of the technical teams along the following functional team thematic areas: state and national public health data systems and emerging standards; working with the state health and environmental agencies; and developing strategies for dissemination of information to key audiences. Facilitate and coordinate work-groups, teams and forums. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to, organizing online meetings, developing agendas, providing virtual meeting audio and webinar services, and facilitating meetings, taking notes. Conduct and facilitate both virtual and in-person meetings, training, and seminars as needed to support program activities. Virtual meetings are ad-hoc while in-person meetings are typically twice a year. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to, developing agendas, organizing topics and speakers, facilitating, and taking notes. Assist program in strategic and annual planning by obtaining and synthesizing feedback from work group, team, and forum members. Maintain knowledge management for the program by completing and organizing documentation from work groups, teams and forums and by maintaining a Web-based, secure site to host documents and tools for the program and its recipients.

The majority of the work will be completed via Telework, with the exception of attendance at major program meetings.

The Public Health Analyst I must possess the following required skills/experience:

Required Skills/Experience:

Ten (5) or more years of relevant experience in business management, informatics, data science, bio-statistics, epidemiology,health education, and communication.  Additionally, skilled in program development, strategic planning, evaluation, facilitation, partnerships,and project management. Technically competent with Microsoft Products 2016 or later; and Experience defining all project activities and milestones required to meet objectives and deliverables, properly sequencing tasks and estimating effort with project team members doing the work, determining the critical path, and leveling the project schedule.

• Excellent active listening and verbal communication skills;
• Strong business writing ability;
• Flexible and adaptable attitude;

• All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to as an "Employment Authorization") by the USG's designated Security Office.
