Echocardiograph Technologist at Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR

Part-Time/Day Shift - Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am-6:00pm

$4,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including, but not limited to, Transesophageal echocardiography, Trans-catheter echo guided procedures (location specific), pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies (location specific), contrast enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer
  • Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Or
  • Upon hire: National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Or
  • Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Applied Science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • 1 year:
  • Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, Or
  • Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available.
  • Pediatric echocardiography experience.
  • Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
  • Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures. (St. Vincent Medical Center)
