The Compliance Counsel willbe responsible forsupporting all aspects of the company's ethics and legal complianceobjectives, including providing advice and counseling in the areas of anti-bribery and the company's Code of Conduct. What you will do:

  • Support development and management of ethics and compliance programs, policies and procedures, and training
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to business and corporate teams across the U.S. and Canada on the Code of Conduct, policy governance, anti-bribery, antitrust, and other ethics and compliance matters, while coordinating with Legal Department colleagues in Latin America on regional compliance matters and other cross-border initiatives
  • Deliver ethics and legal compliance trainings, drive employee engagement and awareness campaigns, and otherwise foster a culture of integrity and compliance throughout the organization
  • Support the company's enterprise risk self-assessment program on an ongoing basis, including facilitating periodic risk self-assessments, supporting other compliance audits and assessments, as needed, and developing, tracking and communicating compliance and risk metrics
  • Coordinate ethics and compliance integration activities associated with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions, including the implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and trainings
  • Managing and providing recommendations in response to employees' requests pertaining to gifts/entertainment, political contributions, and other external activities
  • Anticipating potential exposure and maintaining awareness of legal developments and best practices in the areas of ethics and legal compliance that could impact Daikin's operations in the U.S.
  • Collaborating with the legal team and business partners across the organization to advance the company's business priorities in a manner that is consistent with its Core Values, the Code of Conduct and other company policies, and applicable laws
  • Works collaborative and effectively with Legal Department colleagues in Daikin Americas entities, seeking opportunities to align on consistent approaches, policies and best practices
  • Anticipates, researches, and communicates regarding legal issues that could impact the company
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited Law School and admission to the bar of the State of Minnesota
  • 4+ years of in-house, law firm and/or regulatory agency experience in the areas of ethics and compliance

The typical pay rate for the position ranges from $ 113,800.00 - 193,900 + 20% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position(s) fall. Individual pay rate will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
