Summary 

The Applications Support Specialist is responsible for the support and ongoing maintenance of the company’s Yardi database. This role serves alongside the Senior Enterprise Solutions Administrator as the subject matter experts (SMEs) for Yardi and related integrated applications, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and alignment with business processes. The position also provides troubleshooting, user support, and strategic input for system enhancements and implementations.

Primary Responsibilities  

  • Serve as a point of contact for all Yardi modules (e.g., Voyager 7s and 8, RentCafe Site Manager, CRM IQ, Procure 2 Pay, etc.)
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize system settings, workflows, and security roles          
  • Monitor system performance and ensure uptime, reliability, and data accuracy
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with Yardi support when necessary            
  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for end users, resolving escalated issues efficiently
  • Assists Learning & Development with updating, creating and enhancing training materials, user guides, and best practices
  • Support and participate in system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations
  • Gather and document business requirements for system improvements
  • Ensure data integrity across the Yardi platform
  • Develop and maintain custom reports using Yardi reporting tools
  • Support business intelligence and analytics initiatives related to company operations
  • Support integrations between Yardi and third-party applications (e.g., accounting, payment platforms, CRM tools)
  • Work with APIs, data imports/exports, and middleware solutions as needed

Knowledge and Skills Requirements  

  •  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, accounting or related field (or equivalent experience with real estate operations and software)
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Yardi systems in a property management environment Strong knowledge of Yardi Voyager and related modules
  • Experience with system configuration, security administration, and troubleshooting
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex issues
  •  Experience with RentCafe Site Manager, CRM/Chat IQ, Payment Processing, and integrations
  •  Familiarity with property management accounting practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  •  Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and lead initiatives
  • Customer-service mindset with a proactive approach

Work Location 

Hybrid opportunity based at our Glen Allen, Virginia Headquarters (four days in office and one optional remote day per week) or fully remote, depending on business needs and candidate qualifications

Work Hours

Monday–Friday, 8:30am –5:00pm, with flexibility to support system upgrades and critical issues outside of regular business hours as needed
