Job description

Blue Ridge Transport is a FedEx contractor operating pickup and delivery routes out of the FedEx terminal in Salina, Utah.


We have an immediate opening for a part-time driver to deliver packages to homes and businesses in Sanpete, Sevier and Beaver counties. We are particularly interested in those who can deliver on Saturdays.


We pay our drivers every Friday. Pay is hourly plus time and a half for overtime hours worked.


Responsibilities


Each morning at the terminal conduct pre-trip van inspection, then load and organize your packages at the terminal in Salina.


Follow a designated route (mapped out on an iPad) to deliver packages to homes and businesses, making sure to scan each package with a handheld scanner.


Pick up packages from businesses, as needed.


Return van and picked-up packages to the terminal each afternoon/evening.


Qualifications


Must be at least 21 years old with no DUIs or multiple serious infractions the past 10 years.


Must pass DOT physical, background check and drug test.


Must be able to maneuver packages up to 100 pounds or more.


Must be comfortable driving a large delivery van.


Must be comfortable using applications on handheld electronic devices.


Strong work ethic, reliability, and a focus on safety and customer service are also critical.


Although no experience is necessary, we give preference to those with local delivery experience (Door Dash, finding lots of local addresses each day, etc.)
