Job description

Serán is seeking n Applications Deployment Specialist who will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing enterprise application deployments across the organization. This position is responsible for leading application implementation projects, ensuring successful deployments, managing cross‑functional stakeholder engagement, and supporting organizational change initiatives. The specialist leverages strong project management methodologies and technical expertise to deliver business applications efficiently while minimizing operational disruption. This individual serves as a key contributor in ERP and enterprise system implementations, including SAP S/4HANA deployments, and works closely with business leaders, vendors, and technology teams to ensure project success.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads application deployment projects from initiation through post‑production support, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Develops and maintains detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, risk assessments, and status reports.
  • Coordinates deployment activities among business stakeholders, technical teams, external consultants, and software vendors.
  • Facilitates requirements gathering, implementation planning, testing, training, and go‑live readiness activities.
  • Supports and leads SAP S/4HANA implementation and deployment efforts, including cutover planning and execution.
  • Manages change control processes and deployment governance activities.
  • Conducts risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinates User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integration testing, and deployment validation activities.
  • Supports the development of deployment documentation, standard operating procedures, and implementation playbooks.
  • Monitors deployment performance and resolves issues encountered during implementation and post‑go‑live support.
  • Provides regular project updates and executive‑level communications regarding project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Collaborates with business process owners to align application deployments with organizational objectives.
  • Oversees vendor activities and ensures contractual deliverables are met.
  • Assists with system configuration reviews, data migration planning, and deployment readiness assessments.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve deployment methodologies, project management practices, and operational efficiencies.
  • Responsibilities may increase in scope to align with company initiatives.
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise application deployment methodologies and best practices.
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading complex technology implementations.
  • Recent hands‑on experience supporting or leading SAP S/4HANA deployment projects.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, system integration processes, and change management principles.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Project.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and deployment processes.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships across departments.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, testing cycles, and stakeholder communications.

Education & Experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience managing enterprise software implementation or application deployment projects.
  • Minimum of two years of recent experience participating in or leading SAP S/4HANA implementation and deployment activities.
  • Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing enterprise‑level technology initiatives.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAP certification, or equivalent credential preferred.
  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environment preferred
