Applications Manager

The Application Manager is responsible managing and developing the application team for the Americas in providing direct support to Technical Sales on customer projects. She is responsible for training and on-boarding new Application and Sales personnel and continuing to build internal knowledge on application of colors in range of products. Integral to go/no go launch decisions with new products and creation of new Application sheets and training material. She is also the link to other global application centers enabling leverage of technical support from other sites.

The role:
  • Partner with Sales to coordinate and execute projects that meet customer needs for color matching, troubleshooting and stability etc.
  • Support proactive promotion of EXBERRYĀ® via tradeshow demos, handouts for meetings, and marketing content
  • Support trials on site/virtually, technical trainings, workshops, and calls to support customer success with EXBERRYĀ®
  • Answer customer and sales questions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop technical presentations, guides, webinars & workshops.
  • Build stability data and validation on new categories, where required, to identify business opportunities.
  • Drive research including but not limited to, the manufacturing process, ability to replicate the product, formulations and ingredients needed.
  • Implement and optimize solutions developed in the technical development team for customer projects.
  • Develop processes, guidelines, and training documents to streamline project work for the application team.
  • Continue to develop technical and creative skills of the application team with ongoing internal and/or external training and project support.
  • Maintain ongoing documentation of projects, including but not limited to, project reports and application sheets.
  • Work collaboratively with global leads of the Application Team to share learnings and best practices.
  • Attend industry tradeshows and represent GNT USA Inc.
  • Utilize food science experience to produce quality products in line with industry standards.
  • Coordinate and train new colleagues on EXBERRYĀ® properties and technical considerations.
Additional responsibilities:
  • Will be owner of project tracking software and make improvements when needed.
  • Manage group to maintain a clean and organized lab space.
  • Complete all assigned safety training in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with all required training and ensure timely completion.
  • Follow the Company’s established processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, and product quality guidelines.
  • Maintain a collaborative team mindset while actively supporting GNT’s Food Safety culture.
About you, as our ideal candidate:
  • 7+ years experience working the food industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science
  • Excellent technical verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of analytical methods
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of the following software programs: Microsoft Office, CAP 2.0 & Qlikview
  • Willingness to travel
