Job description

Engineering Manager | R&D | Lehi, UT | Hybrid

RLDatix (RLD) is on a mission to help raise the standard of care…everywhere. Trusted by over 10,000 healthcare organizations around the world, our solutions help improve health and care. Our applications ensure that patients receive the best and safest care while supporting the providers who deliver it.

Joining TeamRLD means being part of a global effort of over 2,000 team members in making a difference in healthcare…every day.

We are hiring a Lehi-based Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team and ensure predictable, high-quality roadmap delivery. This role owns day-to-day team operations, sprint execution, and engineering performance. The Engineering Manager will coach engineers, manage team processes, and partner closely with Product to translate priorities into clear, actionable plans. Success in this role means improved delivery consistency, stronger team capability, and reliable outcomes for customers.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

  • Lead the design and delivery of scalable, production-grade web applications across the full stack.

  • Build and evolve backend services (Python, APIs, distributed systems) and modern frontend experiences (React or similar).

  • Architect, deploy, and operate systems in AWS, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability as we grow.

  • Mentor and develop engineers through hands-on coaching, feedback, and technical leadership.

  • Partner closely with Product and Design to turn ambitious roadmap goals into shipped, high-impact features.

  • Improve engineering velocity by strengthening CI/CD, testing practices, and development workflows.

  • Remove blockers, drive technical decisions, and help the team move fast while maintaining strong engineering quality.

What Kind of Things We’re Most Interested in You Having

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, 2+ years of leadership responsibilities

  • Proven experience building and scaling modern web applications in production environments.

  • Strong technical depth across backend systems, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).

  • Experience leading engineers or technical initiatives, with a passion for mentoring and team growth.

  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, high-ownership environments where priorities evolve quickly.

  • A track record of delivering impactful products in close partnership with Product and Design.

  • Solid engineering fundamentals, including system design, testing, and scalable architecture patterns.

  • Clear communication skills and a bias toward action, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building products in healthcare or other regulated environments, with an understanding of compliance frameworks like HIPAA or SOC 2.

  • Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and the challenges of scaling shared platforms across a growing customer base.

  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar) to support repeatable, scalable deployments.

  • Experience helping teams or platforms scale—whether modernizing legacy systems, evolving architecture, or supporting rapid growth.

  • Exposure to building and operating highly available, secure systems where reliability and data integrity are critical.

By enabling flexibility in how we work and prioritizing employee wellness, we empower our team to do and be their best. Our benefits package includes health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401K, paid time off, and paid holidays.

RLDatix is an equal opportunity employer, and our employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, age, gender, national origin, disability, handicap, marital status or any other status or condition protected by Federal and/or State laws.

As part of RLDatix’s commitment to the inclusion of all qualified individuals, we ensure that persons with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation in the job application and interview process. If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in either step, please don’t hesitate to send a note to accessibility@rldatix.com.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also taken into consideration.
