Imagry is looking for an Application/Testing Engineer in Tokyo, Japan, with motivation to succeed in the first position in the industry.

You will be responsible for the whole car / bus software / hardware testing pipeline, issues reporting, and team communication.

This is an opportunity for a position in the autonomous driving industry with real-world experience in feature testing.

The position requires spending long hours in the car/bus and some physical work. This is not an office position!

The position requires long-term traveling to support projects abroad.


Responsibilities:

1. Manage Software test cycle, which includes: running test scenarios, configuration management & code debugging.

2. Report the main Software / Hardware car / bus issues to the appropriate engineer. This requires an understanding of the technology and the capability of pinpointing where a problem is located and who is responsible for fixing it.

3. In charge of making sure cameras in the car/bus are clean and the car/bus's physical maintenance.

4. In charge of all computers and hardware within the car / bus.

5. You will participate in demos for visitors, and you will describe the product to the visitors.

Requirements;

Practical Engineer in any technical domain.

Hands-on experience with C++ or similar (code investigation) – advantage.

Experience with git/docker – advantage.

Driving license – must.

Willing to perform software testing and drive in the car at least 6 hours a day. This is a field position; most of the testing is done in the car/bus.

Good communication skills in Japanese & English (verbal & written), ability to write clear reports.

Familiarity with the Autonomous Vehicle field - an advantage.

Willing to work and travel between sites.
