THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS AN APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

This is a full‑time position working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

In this role, you'll meet customer needs with tailored engineering solutions, develop designs and detailed drawings, and translate technical requirements into accurate quotes. Your day will involve collaborating with cross‑functional teams, guiding projects from initial inquiry through delivery, and ensuring every solution meets performance, cost, and timeline expectations. You'll build trusted relationships with customers, troubleshoot challenges, and proactively drive projects forward, ensuring each outcome reflects Thermo's commitment to quality and innovation.

OUR IDEAL APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

We're looking for someone who can meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or product engineering
  • Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop quotes and cost estimates
  • Strong project management and presentation skills

Direct experience with flexible heater products (etched foil, silicone rubber, Kapton), knowledge of UL/CSA/RoHS standards, ERP/CRM systems, and familiarity with industries such as medical devices, semiconductors, aerospace, food processing, or EV systems, as well as related manufacturing processes, are preferred.
