JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities of the position include all aspects of application, integration and extensions development within our HR Technology footprint, as well as production support for standard and custom components, solution delivery of new enhancements and bug fixes, and configuration responsibilities. More specifically, responsible for developing, supporting, and contributing to the design of integrations and extensions within Oracle HCM Cloud, and other tools as needed, and between HCM and various enterprise systems, applications, and databases. Including working knowledge of data exchange, middleware, and API technologies which are crucial in ensuring seamless and efficient communication between different systems, enabling streamlined business processes and data synchronization.
This position falls under the company's Insider Threat Program and will have access to, and control over sensitive data, systems or assets. Enhanced personnel screening, which includes a background review, drug screen and psychological assessment, will be required if you are selected for this position
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
  • Application/Integration Design and Architecture: Support stakeholders and architects in understanding business requirements and contributing to integration solution design that enable seamless data exchange between enterprise systems, both internally and externally. Learn and apply integration patterns, data transformation rules, and middleware technologies under architectural guidance.
  • Application/Integration Development: Develop and implement applications, extensions & integrations using industry-standard development frameworks, integration platforms, middleware tools, and APIs. Write clean, reusable code and implement data mapping, transformation, and validation logic. Ensure integrations adhere to security, performance, and reliability standards. This also includes development inside of Oracle HCM Cloud in utilizing ATOM Feeds, Fast Formulas, BIP, VBCS and other frameworks as needed like C# and Angular.
  • System Connectivity: Establish connectivity between various systems, databases, and applications through middleware solutions, such as enterprise service buses (ESBs), message queues, or APIs. Configure and manage communication protocols, authentication mechanisms, and data encryption to ensure secure and reliable data transmission.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve application and integration issues, including data synchronization errors, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with system administrators, application developers, and external vendors to identify root causes and implement timely resolutions.
  • Integration Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans and scenarios to validate integration workflows, data integrity, and system compatibility. This includes writing unit and integration tests covering happy path, edge cases, and failure scenarios, with test results validated against expected outcomes before deployment.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including integration specifications, architectural diagrams, sequence diagrams, and troubleshooting guides. Maintain up-to-date README files and design artifacts as integrations evolve. Share knowledge and best practices with internal teams, providing training and guidance on integration-related topics.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of emerging integration technologies, HCM extensions, standards, and best practices. Continuously evaluate new tools, frameworks, and platforms including AI-assisted development tools that can enhance integration capabilities and optimize data exchange processes.
  • AI Knowledge & Mindset:
    • The developer is expected to bring an AI-native mindset defaulting to AI-assisted approaches to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, reduce repetitive work, and get solutions rolling faster. AI is a tool to amplify impact, not replace judgment.
    • Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex or similar code assistants, using them actively to prototype, generate boilerplate, draft documentation, review code, and identify issues.
    • Familiarity with prompt engineering fundamentals, the ability to craft effective, context-aware prompts to get accurate and useful results from large language models (LLMs).
    • Awareness of AI limitations and responsible use, including understanding of hallucinations, data privacy considerations, and the requirement to apply critical review to all AI-generated code before it enters production.
    • Understanding of how Generative AI and AI/ML concepts apply to software development workflows, integration patterns, and automation scenarios.
    • Proactively explores emerging AI tooling to continuously improve personal and team productivity not waiting to be directed but actively seeking smarter ways to deliver better outcomes.
    • Familiarity with Generative AI tools is expected; deep AI/ML expertise is a plus and an area we actively support growing.
  • HR/Business Process Knowledge: Experience with Hire-to-Retire process areas such as onboarding, position management, benefits, workforce structure, offboarding, compensation, absence etc is a significant advantage and will accelerate your success in this role. If you do not have this background, you must demonstrate a strong willingness and ability to learn these processes quickly, as they are foundational to the work this position delivers. Ability to translate HR business process requirements into technical integration designs is valued; candidates without this experience are expected to build it on the job.
  • Version Control & Collaboration: Proficiency with GitHub for source control, branching strategies, pull requests, and collaborative code review workflows. Comfortable with merge conflict resolution, maintaining a clean and meaningful commit history, and following team branching standards

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/MIS/Engineering or related degree preferred
  • 3-5, or greater, years of experience building and delivering software solutions
  • Experience in developing and supporting integrations in an enterprise environment; HR Technology experience is a plus
  • Working proficiency in integration platforms, middleware technologies, and tools particularly, but not limited to Oracle OIC, SSIS, Autosys and Apigee
  • Working proficiency in extension tools and languages such as Oracle VBCS, Oracle APEX, .NET, Angular and C#. High proficiency in C# and Angular preferred.
  • Good understanding of integration patterns, data transformation techniques, and message queuing protocols
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles
  • Working experience with relational databases and SQL, including basic database design and database programming (PLSQL and Oracle REST Data Services preferred)
  • Good familiarity with enterprise systems, with HCM experience preferred, and its integration requirements, such as HCM APIs, HDL Loader, HCM Extracts and ATOM Feeds
  • Knowledge of security protocols and authentication mechanisms, including OAuth, JWT, and SAML
  • Experience working with API-based interactions between complex systems
  • Experience with source control using GitHub, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews and DevOps concepts from a developer's perspective
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, competitive information technology organization, spanning various disciplines including applications, infrastructure, and business support roles (Agile methodology experience preferred)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Integrations Professional) are desirable
  • Experience with ServiceNow is a plus!
  • Experience with large data models/data lakes and visualization tools such as PowerBI is a plus!
