Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Applications Developer / Java Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java development, Microsoft SQL Server, stored procedures, and SWIFT messaging within the financial services industry.
The ideal candidate will have a solid software development background and experience working with financial applications, particularly SWIFT MT5xx securities messages.
Work Location: New York, NY - On-Site
Note: The position is primarily targeted to candidates in the New York Metropolitan area. If the local candidate pool is limited, the search may be broadened to candidates outside the NY Metropolitan area.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java.
  • Develop and maintain applications across the full stack as required.
  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot MS SQL Server databases and stored procedures.
  • Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable application solutions.
  • Develop and support applications that process and integrate SWIFT financial messages.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application and production issues.
  • Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, security, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a financial services environment.

Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on Java development experience.
  • Strong experience with MS SQL Server.
  • Strong experience developing and working with SQL stored procedures.
  • Experience with SWIFT messaging standards and financial messaging.
