GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Software Engineering Intern will be part of the programming team responsible for creating financial reporting, data extractions and software updates for the Core financial system. All codes will be tested and stored in GIT prior to implementation into production. Code may be developed independently or as part of a team effort depending on the criticality and complexity of the development.

Salary is $19.00/hr. Job Grade, NE 8.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

* Current Undergraduate/Graduate student or recent graduate majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math or related major.

* 6 months of exposure to object-oriented or procedural language (Java, C#, C, C++, Python etc.)

* Must be located in Arizona

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements

* Ability to deal effectively and courteously with a wide variety of people.

* Detailed oriented

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to execute feedback to minimize repeated errors and apply new concepts.

LENGTH OF TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT:

Part time, 20 hours/week for 6 months .

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:

This job requires the employee to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Infrequent lifting up to 25 lbs.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must comply with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). .

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Ensures application requirements and efficiencies match the organizational needs.

* Full lifecycle application development with ability to deliver quality products on time.

* Designs, codes and debugs applications in various software languages.

* Assist with implementing new features by gathering requirements, performing design, coding and unit testing, creating design patterns, and assisting in quality assurance testing.

* Maintains and develops existing software by fixing issues and implementing new functionality.

  • Complete business programming requests, individually or collaboratively with a team of programmers and developers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
