Your Future Position Our flavor creation and application team is the foundation and creative force of our Taste and Wellbeing division. They develop creative new food product concepts, evaluate new flavor profiles and delivery technologies, and most importantly, assist our Account Managers in winning new business using the combination of art and science, intimately bound with human psychologies and cultures.
Reporting to the applications group lead, this Cranbury, New Jersey-based position, your primary focus will be to work on projects related to innovation and apply knowledge during the flavor selection, evaluation, and application development. Be the technical expert and advisor to marketing, sales, flavor creation, and customers for specific category applications. The Innovation team has dedicated technical resources, taken out of the daily customer briefs, who can now focus on building commercial innovation by using existing technologies to develop holistic customer solutions that can go straight to market.

Main responsibilities
Showcase your Technical Expertise: Lead selection and evaluation of flavors in beverage applications, according to specific requirements (customer, legislation, costs). Create beverage formulations, identifying appropriate technology, ingredients, and flavor delivery systems for customer projects. Be up-to-date about the newest methods and techniques for beverage applications.
Partner and Influence: respect internal and external customers. Led or participated in customer projects, which include customer visits. Collaborate on project ideas and project plans as assigned. We foster a positive environment of openness and curiosity where we create and share ideas that delight, surprise, and touch everyone's lives.
Manage Organizational Effectiveness: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab environment following EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines. Manage projects with large development projects.
Professional profile
• B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Food Engineering, Biology, with 7 years of experience in a beverage applications lab, CPG product development, or related.
• Ability to screen flavors and product profiles.
• Mix of higher education and work experience is also considered.
• Knowledge of most beverage applications, ingredients, and processes with practical experience in customers' manufacturing environment.
• Ability to develop and screen beverage bases, alcoholic and non-alcoholic
• Ability to translate market trends into products using Givaudan's range of products, and identify innovation elsewhere.
• Project Management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams towards customer and team goals.
• Understanding of many of the flavor interactions in common beverage products and recommending alternatives based on performance is a plus.
