Job description

We need Full-Time Child Care Partners to teach toddlers and preschoolers independently and as part of a team!

Responsibilities for FT Teacher:
You will often work independently in groups of the following sizes:
  • Four (4) 0-9-month-olds
  • Six (6) 9-18-month-olds
  • Six (6) 18-24-month-olds
  • Nine (9) 2-year-olds
  • Twelve (12) 3-year-olds
  • Thirteen (13) 4/5-year-olds

And will:
  • Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in his/her care, following Conscious Discipline guidelines
  • Plan and execute enriching learning activities
  • Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys
  • Play with toddlers and preschoolers
  • Lead toddler and preschooler activities
  • Check children in and out
  • Give bottles to infants
  • Feed solid foods as age appropriate
  • Change diapers as needed
  • Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
  • Put infants in cribs for nap time
  • Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
  • Clean toys at end of day

Pay: $15 - $16 per hour
Shift: 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday
Location: We have five locations throughout Reno/Sparks, so we are probably close to home!
Hiring Process:
  • Application review (A complete application is required to move forward.)
  • Phone screen after complete, qualified application
  • Interview scheduled
  • Final decision typically made within five to seven business days of completed application

Qualifications for FT Teacher
  • Must pass Drug Test (for drugs illegal in the state of Nevada)
  • Must Pass Background Check
  • Must provide references
  • Must be work all five days, Monday through Friday
  • Meet annual professional development requirements, per Nevada State Licensing
  • Willing to work with ages from 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Caring individual who gets to know children by name
  • Dedicated to local community
  • Helping the team is a priority
  • Great speaking and customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Extended periods of time sitting on the floor

Education:
  • High school or GED (Preferred)

Experience:
  • Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
