Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

The Project Manager oversees all phases of assigned construction projects from preconstruction through completion, with a particular focus on mission-critical and data center work. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. The Project Manager leads estimating and bidding efforts, manages project schedules and budgets, and partners closely with the Project Superintendent to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project estimating efforts, including preparing accurate bids and detailed written proposals.
  • Define and develop comprehensive project scopes that clearly outline deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Solicit, qualify, and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing and appropriate capabilities.
  • Procure materials and negotiate subcontract agreements to support project objectives and budget constraints.
  • Prepare and manage project submittals as needed, ensuring timely review and approval.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, aligning labor, materials, and resources to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Monitor project costs, review invoices, and ensure adherence to established budgets and financial controls.
  • Hold regular meetings with the Project Superintendent to review progress, address challenges, and set priorities.
  • Perform site visits as needed to support quality control, safety compliance, and alignment with project plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and standardize internal processes, promoting efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Support business development efforts by building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Assist with marketing and outreach activities as needed to promote the company’s services and capabilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support successful project delivery and organizational goals.

Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of construction project management principles and supervision practices.
  • Experience in managing construction projects, including coordination of mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems work.
  • Experience with client relationship management and leading project teams.
  • Knowledge of UST (underground storage tank) and AST (aboveground storage tank) regulations and related compliance standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Project management experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS in Construction Management preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in construction management for fuel systems, data centers, and mission-critical projects.
  • Background in mechanical or electrical construction, including work with underground storage tanks (UST).
  • Relevant industry licenses or certifications preferred.
  • Experience working with construction management software and tools is beneficial.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support repeat and referral business.
  • Willingness to grow within a company that is expanding its presence in mission-critical and data center markets.

Work Environment

The role is primarily based in an office environment, where the Project Manager will perform planning, coordination, and administrative responsibilities.
