What will you contribute?


As part of Finastra's AI COE, we are seeking an AI Application Project Manager focused on delivery across our product-aligned delivery pods, to embed AI into some of our most critical Finastra products.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Your deliverables as an AI Application Project Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • End to End project delivery: Lead and drive projects from Intake till Delivery and ensure that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements.

  • Planning: Develop detailed implementation project plans, outlining the scope, timeline, milestones, resource allocation, and deliverables for each client engagement.

  • Client management: Work closely with clients to understand their specific requirements, business processes, and objectives for the banking system implementations

  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business consultants, solution architects and clients to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements for the core banking software.

  • Solution Design: Liaise between Finastra's product experts, solution and technical teams in designing the most suitable solution that aligns with client needs and meets industry best practice.

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between Finastra and the client's project team.

  • Resource Management: Assemble project teams from various functional areas within Finastra, assigning roles and responsibilities to ensure efficient project execution.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges during the implementation process and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

  • Issue Resolution: Manage and escalate issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruptions to the project timeline.

  • Change Management: Develop change management strategies to assist clients in adopting the new core banking system and effectively manage organizational change.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Manages the daily/weekly project team assignments and monitors progress against the work plan to ensure that objectives are met within the prescribed time, cost, and quality measures.

  • Communication and Cadence: Creates, manages, and distributes project communications artifacts like charters, schedules, and budgets. Provides project status updates and steering committees, etc., at predetermined time intervals to all stakeholders. Publishing project reports, KPI metrics, retrospectives, lessons learned and best practices

  • Project budgeting and costing: Manage and monitor project forecast and budget to ensure projects are executed within allocated budgets by optimizing costs and control cost leakages.

  • Closure: Ensure standardized closing ceremonies and orchestrate successful project handovers to post-implementation support teams.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve implementation methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance future project delivery

  • Client Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of client satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within budget, and exceeding client expectations.

  • Program governance: Align on program and portfolio frameworks and methodologies.


Required Experience:

  • Experience in project or program management in Banking and Financial implementation projects

  • Implementation with Client facing experience

  • Project management certifications (PMI, CSM, Agile, SAFe, etc.,)

  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder expectation management skills

  • Experience with Finastra products is a plus
