Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Risk and PnL Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This is a unique opportunity for a mid-level developer to join a Risk & PnL Team focused on modernizing legacy systems. The role involves migrating use cases to a strategic Risk Engine, Aggregator, and UI as part of a comprehensive Intraday Risk for Trading program. The successful candidate will work extensively with Core Java and Python in a front-office derivatives risk environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new features within existing Python services
  • Contribute to future design and architecture
  • Plan work in an agile manner with other team members
  • Write acceptance tests in coordination with QA
  • Provide L3 user support
  • Communicate with business and platform partners
  • Improve and develop the CI pipeline and deployment strategies
  • Collaborate with other team members, platform teams, equity derivatives trading, and operations
  • Formulate and design systems scope and objectives, and work on bridging the gaps between systems
  • Reconcile risk & pnl numbers and explain differences between systems
  • Support systems through maintenance, modification, and problem resolution

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of technology development experience
  • 2+ years of experience in development of front-office derivatives risk systems
  • Computer science or equivalent degree
  • Demonstrable experience designing and developing complex multi-threaded server-side functionality using Core Java
  • Experience with Open Sourced Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate
  • Proficient in writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests
  • Comfortable in an agile working environment
  • Self-starter and proactive

Desired skills:
  • Experience with Python and/or modern web UI technologies; HTML5, React, RESTful services, Websockets
  • Derivatives Risk domain knowledge (Greeks and Scenarios)
  • Equity Derivatives product knowledge (Futures, Options, Convertibles)

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
