We are now seeking an Application Specialist, P&HS, NA, North Region to join the Packaging & Hygiene Solutions team in the Americas region.
The focus for this role will be on the development and support of the Kemira Total Chemistry Management Solutions, including products, control and monitoring solutions, as well as consultative services. This is a remote position to be located in Northern US.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
  • Responsibility for the support and implementation of our strategy together with our sales team, focusing on the best in class methods of implementing our total chemistry management solutions
  • Supporting our value creation in services offering to our customers with the core target being to develop these new verticals further and consistently.
  • Coordination between the New Ventures, Strategic Growth and the Sales Team(s) across a large commercial region
  • External marketing, sales team field based support, value creation and monthly reporting on all activities.
  • Utilizing the internal tools, such as Salesforce, to determine the most important opportunities is a must.
  • Serve as the contact person for the local sales team for technical consultations
  • General administrative tasks including work within a large commercial team offering daily support of business activities

What you'll bring to the team:
  • Four year Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or other related field
  • Advanced level knowledge of product lines, but specific expert status in area of specialization with a minimum of 10 years' experience
  • Strong understanding of paper process chemistry; specific experience with application of retention/drainage chemistries is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate and utilize expert-level knowledge of applications specific to area of specialization
  • Prior commercial experience preferred
  • Good computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Expert level of understanding of the papermaking process and finished grade knowledge
  • Advanced level knowledge of product lines, but specific expert status in area of specialization
  • Ability to develop effective chemical program recommendations and proposals
  • Ability to perform statistical data analysis to evaluate program performance
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to understand and support corporate strategy and the product line strategies
  • Ability to travel (minimum 50%)
