Job description

Pay Rate: $19.00/hour (1-year Contract, Seasonal)Shift: 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday. May be required to stay past their shift time if the work is not completed. Must be flexible to stay, if needed.
    What’s a typical day as Material Handler? You’ll be:
    • Participating in day-to-day seed count, bagging, and treating operations
    • Operating and managing automatic seed sampling equipment
    • Assisting with seed counts for packaging and obtaining QA samples
    • Entering plant monitoring data for the treating and packaging area
    • Monitoring packaging appearance and process accuracy
    • Performing general repairs of bag placers, baggers, treater, and palletizer
    • Participating in cleanup for variety changes
    • Assisting with carryover blending, inventory, and process as needed
    • Meeting safety requirements in the plant
    • Completing other tasks as directed by management
    This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
    • Have a minimum HS Diploma or GED
    • Possess at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, seed production, ginning, seed conditioning, or relevant farm/mechanical work
    • Demonstrate proven knowledge of OSHA's Lockout Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry (CSE), and other safety requirements
    • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Are able to handle 50 lb bags as needed
    • Maintenance or mechanical skills are a plus
    • Are flexible to stay past scheduled shift when work requires
