Job description

Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Lebanon, TN 
Pay Rate: $18.42/hour
Type: Temp to Perm (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (40 hrs/week; Overtime available but not required)
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and staging materials within the plant, supporting machine operators with material needs, and assisting in the packaging and assembly of products. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to grow in a manufacturing environment, with the potential to convert to full-time based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate industrial trucks and equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and scissor lifts
  • Load and unload materials by hand or using equipment onto pallets, racks, shelves, and vehicles
  • Follow work orders, shipping/production schedules, and verbal instructions to distribute materials appropriately
  • Support machine operators with material staging and machine setup
  • Assist in packaging and assembly procedures following standard operating procedures
  • Conduct safety inspections and complete daily equipment checklists
  • Read basic blueprints and use hand/power tools for product assembly and packaging systems
  • Prepare shipments by building crates, securing loads, and installing strapping or padding when necessary
  • Perform additional warehouse or production tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
  • Comfortable working on your feet and handling physical tasks for the full shift
  • Ability to read tape measures and basic blueprints is a plus
  • Must pass a physical, drug screen, and background check prior to hire
  • Willingness to wear required PPE (provided by customer)
