Application Engineer
Marposs Group is a global leader providing measurement, inspection and testing cutting edge solutions for quality and process control in the workshop environment, serving all major automotive and machine tools manufacturers, as well as the aerospace, biomedical, electronics, energy, glass containers and white goods sectors.
In order to reinforce our growth plans in North America, Marposs Corporation has an opening for an Application Engineer.
Reporting to the Application Manager, this individual will Provide support for direct sales, distributors, OEM’s and end users in the quotation, application design, installation, launch of machine tool probing and monitoring products/systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, support, troubleshoot, and provide on-site training for Marposs products to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Follow the Service Manager’s schedule and respond to customer emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain current technical knowledge through training programs, technical bulletins, and Marposs resources.
  • Complete timely and accurate service reports, documentation, and expense reports.
  • Travel extensively throughout Michigan and the Midwest to provide on-site customer support.
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of CNC and General Machine Tool Industry experience needed
  • Associate’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, mechatronics)
  • Must have programming and operational skills with CNC Controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, etc.)
  • Must be able to read engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical)
  • Knowledge of PC software and hardware capabilities
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Use of equipment such as digital voltmeters, o-scopes, basic software programming and assorted hand and power tools.
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Good Driving Record
