How does an application manager typically interact with development and IT operations teams?

Application Managers play a crucial role in bridging the gap between development, IT operations, and business stakeholders. They coordinate software deployments, manage updates, and ensure applications meet performance and security standards. To thrive as an Application Manager, you need a solid background in software development, IT project management, and a relevant degree such as computer science or information systems. Familiarity with application lifecycle management tools, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and certifications like ITIL or PMP are often required. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills help in managing teams and collaborating with stakeholders. These abilities ensure smooth application performance, effective project delivery, and alignment with business objectives.
