Job Title: Senior PL/SQL Performance Enhancement Developer
Location: Onsite - Omaha, NE or Remote

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PL/SQL Performance Enhancement Developer to lead database optimization and performance improvement initiatives across enterprise applications.
This role requires deep expertise in PL/SQL development, execution plan analysis, and advanced database performance tuning, along with strong collaboration skills to work closely with DBAs, application teams, and offshore development teams.
Key Responsibilities
PL/SQL Development & Optimization
  • Design, develop, and enhance complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Refactor and optimize existing PL/SQL code for improved performance and scalability.
  • Conduct detailed dependency analysis and execution plan evaluations.
Performance Tuning & Monitoring
  • Analyze SQL execution plans and identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement indexing strategies, query optimization, and code tuning best practices.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to track performance metrics and generate reports.
  • Drive iterative performance improvement processes.
Deployment & Governance
  • Develop deployment scripts and support release management processes.
  • Implement robust exception handling and logging mechanisms.
  • Maintain technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work closely with DBAs and offshore development teams to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Provide leadership during performance reviews and tuning initiatives.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to explain performance issues and recommend solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development.
  • Strong expertise in advanced database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Deep understanding of SQL execution plans, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
